The catacombs of Paris

My last to tourist event at Chateau Vincennes. It was built in 1350. I felt like Robin Hood was going to come around the corner any minute.

On my france gotta see was some really really old churches. This is one church close to Notre Dame that is called Sainte Chappel. Every set of windows had a different theme. I can't express or nor my camera show the fantastic colors that these windows show.

On our last night in Mougins, on the Riviera was a dinner at the hotel with our chef Cedric. He'd been so helpful our first night in. So when we came back for dinner we had made a friend. We learned about his new baby boy and wife and that he had worked on a cruise ship in Alaska and down the California coast. What a nice way to end our first week in France.

This trip has been such a fun experience for me. I know I waited a long time to nake it happen and maybe it has made me  more apprecitive of the experience. Probably the one thing that stands out the most is how nice and extremly helpful the French people have been. Even with all our preparing and zillion maps we still have have had to ask many many questions and directions in our minimal french and english and pointing. Everyone has bent over backwards to help. We even had people walk 5 ot 6 blocks with us just to get us to the right train or bus stop. The sites here are like being in the Pirate of Carribean in Disneyland and memoriable of course but the people we meet will leave the biggest impression on me. I hope to take back this attitude with me when I encounter vistors to San Diego.
